Description
Zorro, The Gay Blade (1981) — Starring George Hamilton, Lauren Hutton, Brenda Vaccaro | Rated PG
The son of Zorro. His twin brother. One mask. Completely different styles.
George Hamilton is perfectly cast in the dual role of Don Diego Vega — the stiff, serious heir to the Zorro legacy — and his twin brother Bunny Wigglesworth, a flamboyant dandy who takes over the Zorro duties when Diego breaks his ankle and rides through California in a pink costume fighting injustice with fabulous flair. This loving spoof of swashbuckler films is supremely good-natured and enormously funny, with Hamilton demonstrating a gift for self-deprecating comedy rarely seen in his career.
Two brothers. One legend. One of them wore sequins.
