STIR CRAZY (1980) — DVD | Gene Wilder | Richard Pryor | Georg Stanford Brown | R
They didn’t do it. The jury disagreed. Now they’re in prison. This is not ideal.
Skip Donahue (Gene Wilder) and Harry Monroe (Richard Pryor) are two hapless New Yorkers who head west to chase their dreams — and end up wrongly convicted and sent to a maximum-security prison, where Skip discovers an unexpected talent for rodeo. Sidney Poitier directed this hugely popular 1980 comedy, and the chemistry between Wilder and Pryor is pure movie gold.
Wrongly convicted. Completely unprepared. Absolutely hilarious.
