RECRUITS (1986) — DVD | Doug Annear | John Canada Terrell | Annie McAuley | R
They were supposed to become cops. The process was going to take a while.
Doug Annear and John Canada Terrell in this fast-paced and broadly amusing police comedy about a hilariously incompetent group of police academy recruits whose training is more obstacle course than professional preparation — a film of cheerful low-budget comedy energy and the broad laughs of a Police Academy-style comedy made with genuine affection for its ridiculous characters. Annie McAuley in a production of real comedy chaos fun.
They failed every test. The real test was whether they’d ever pass any of them.
