PROMISED A MIRACLE (1988) — DVD | Rosanna Arquette | Judge Reinhold | NR
They believed prayer would heal their son. Their son died.
Rosanna Arquette and Judge Reinhold in this devastating and important TV drama based on the true story of a devout couple who relied entirely on faith healing for their seriously ill diabetic son — and the legal and moral reckoning that followed his preventable death. A film of genuine moral complexity that examines religious belief medical responsibility and the point at which faith crosses into negligence with the honesty these questions deserve.
The faith was real. The medicine would also have been real.
