Description
Where the Buffalo Roam (1980) — Starring Bill Murray, Peter Boyle, Bruno Kirby | Rated R
Based on the twisted legend of Hunter S. Thompson — sort of.
Bill Murray delivers a wildly entertaining performance as gonzo journalist Hunter S. Thompson in this loose, anarchic biopic covering the outrageous adventures Thompson and his attorney Carl Lazlo shared during the early 1970s, from the Super Bowl to the Campaign Trail. More impressionistic than biographical, Where the Buffalo Roam captures the spirit of Thompson’s drug-fueled, truth-seeking lifestyle with the same irreverence that made his writing legendary. Murray is an absolute force of nature.
Gonzo journalism in its natural habitat.
