WEEKEND OF SHADOWS (1978) — DVD | John Waters | Wyn Roberts | Graham Rouse | NR
The whole town was hunting. Not everyone cared if they got the right man.
After a brutal murder, a suspect escapes into the rural Australian countryside — and the community that pursues him is as dangerous as the fugitive himself. John Waters leads a strong Australian cast in this atmospheric and unsettling 1978 drama that uses a simple manhunt to examine how quickly justice can curdle into something far uglier.
Out here, the law of the mob is the only law that matters.
