During the Napoleonic Wars, rough-and-ready sailor Gilliatt (Rock Hudson) is hired to smuggle a beautiful woman (Yvonne De Carlo) across the Channel — only to discover that she is a British agent carrying intelligence vital to the war effort. As French naval forces close in and the stakes grow higher, the initial antagonism between the two begins, inevitably, to shift.
Directed by the great Raoul Walsh (White Heat, The Roaring Twenties) with his trademark energy and pace, Sea Devils is a colourful, fast-moving and thoroughly entertaining piece of old-fashioned Hollywood adventure, shot beautifully on location in the Channel Islands.
