Harry Calder (George Segal) is a government safety inspector pulled into the most terrifying case of his career — a methodical, anonymous saboteur (Timothy Bottoms) has been engineering catastrophic roller coaster accidents and is now demanding a multi-million dollar ransom or he will strike again at a major amusement park. With Richard Widmark as the FBI man and the clock running down, Calder must somehow identify and stop an enemy he has never seen.
