Chanticleer (voiced by Glen Campbell) is a proud farm rooster who believes his crow brings up the sun every morning. When he’s tricked into thinking otherwise, he leaves in shame and becomes a rock star in the city — leaving his farm plunged into rain and darkness. Now a young boy named Edmond, transformed into a kitten by the villainous Grand Duke of Owls (Christopher Plummer), must lead a group of farm animals on a quest to bring Chanticleer home.
Directed by Don Bluth (The Land Before Time, An American Tail) and featuring a voice cast including Phil Harris in his final film role and Charles Nelson Reilly, Rock-A-Doodle is an eccentric, colourful and memorably odd animated adventure that has developed a devoted cult following since its 1991 release.
