Claude (Vince Edwards) is a methodical, philosophical young man who decides that becoming a contract killer is a more efficient route to financial security than conventional employment. Working his way up through a series of clinical, carefully planned kills, he earns the trust of the criminal underworld — until his next assignment turns out to be a woman. For reasons he can’t quite articulate, Claude finds he cannot kill a woman. This unexpected scruple becomes a very serious problem for everyone involved.
