Description
History of the World, Part I (1981) — Starring Mel Brooks, Dom DeLuise, Madeline Kahn | Rated R
From the dawn of man to the French Revolution — Mel Brooks takes on all of it.
Mel Brooks wrote, directed, and stars in multiple roles in this rollicking, irreverent sketch-comedy epic that careens from the Stone Age through the Roman Empire, the Spanish Inquisition, and the French Revolution with gleeful disregard for historical accuracy and absolute commitment to the comedic gag. Whether tap-dancing monks, stand-up philosophers, or an outrageously corrupt Louis XVI, Brooks and his legendary ensemble squeeze laughs from every era of human history.
History never looked this funny.
Format: DVD | Genre: Comedy | Runtime: approx. 92 min
