Dick Harper (George Segal) is a highly paid aerospace executive who loses his job when his company collapses. His wife Jane (Jane Fonda) has never worked. Their mortgage, their car payments, their swimming pool and their social status all require immediate attention. The solution they hit upon is armed robbery — which, to their considerable surprise, they turn out to be reasonably good at. A sharp, funny and pointed satire directed by Ted Kotcheff.
