Joe (Jack Bittner) is a down-on-his-luck poet who discovers, while staring into his own eyes in the mirror, that he can see the contents of his own mind unfolding before him — and realise that he can offer the same service to others. Setting up a dream-selling business in his Manhattan apartment, Joe provides his neurotic and frustrated clients with seven extraordinary, tailor-made visions, each one created by a different avant-garde artist of the era.

Winner of the prize for Best Original Contribution to the Progress of Cinematography at the 1947 Venice Film Festival.
