Dwight Ingalls (Donovan Leitch) has just been released from a mental institution and returns to his small-town high school — where a series of gruesome murders of faculty members and students begins almost immediately. His girlfriend Paula (Jill Schoelen) isn’t sure whether to trust Dwight or the local star athlete (Brad Pitt, in one of his earliest film appearances) who seems very eager to be helpful.
