Rubber Duck (Kris Kristofferson) is a truck driver whose confrontation with the corrupt Sheriff Lyle (Ernest Borgnine) inadvertently sparks a cross-state convoy of big rigs that grows into a rolling protest against petty authority and highway injustice. Ali MacGraw joins for the ride. Sam Peckinpah directs with his characteristic combination of energy, humour and spectacular vehicular destruction.
