Description
AIRPLANE! (1980) — DVD | Robert Hays | Julie Hagerty | Lloyd Bridges | PG
A movie that’s never been funnier. Don’t call it Shirley.
When a passenger jet’s crew is incapacitated, a traumatized ex-fighter pilot (Robert Hays) must land the plane with only the voice of an air traffic controller (Lloyd Bridges) for help — and the gags flying faster than the aircraft. Julie Hagerty co-stars in this genre-defining 1980 comedy from the Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker team that essentially invented the modern spoof film and remains one of the funniest movies ever made.
Surely you can’t be serious. We are serious. And don’t call us Shirley.
